GMRS Operator Course

Course Introduction

The General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) is an easy to use two-way radio service. GMRS devices can generally communicate with Family Radio Service (FRS) walkie-talkies. GMRS usage requires a license, but the fee has been reduced and is now only $35.00 for a ten year license. Great news -- the GMRS license does not require any test. GMRS operators however are required to follow rules, and FRS operators are licensed by rule, meaning that by following the rules FRS operators do not need a license.
